In arthistoricum.net Heidelberg University Library provides art historians from all over the world with the technical infrastructure to publish journals online open access.

  • We ensure the basic set up of the journal as well as hosting the Open Journal Systems (OJS) software, the technical platform for your journal.
  • We can adapt the layout to your own design. This will provide you – within the technical OJS framework – with your own individual journal website.
  • We provide an introduction at Heidelberg University Library to the OJS software as well as all its functions and workflows.

The open source software OJS is a system of the international “Public Knowledge Project”. It comprises the entire editorial review process and publication workflow for the publication of an electronic journal. It covers all steps online from handing in articles, to peer reviewing up to the publication of single issues. OJS journal websites are available in several languages.
