What you can publish scroll to top

ART-Books is aimed at authors and editors of academic publications. Among other things, it publishes:

  • Monographs
  • Anthologies and conference proceedings
  • Exhibition catalogues
  • Academic series

Publications must meet standard academic quality standards, for example through peer review or editorial oversight.

Open Access – implemented flexibly scroll to top

We support various forms of open access publishing:

  • Initial publication via Diamond Open Access
  • Republishing of previously published works (Green Open Access)

Your publication will be published primarily in digital form in open-access formats and can also be made available as a printed book (print-on-demand).

This is based on the open-source software Open Monograph Press (OMP), which was developed specifically for academic book publications. This enables:

  • Consistent and structured publications
  • Long-term archiving and technical processing
  • The creation of various output formats from a single database (e.g. PDF, HTML, print)
  • Multimedia and enhanced publications: Structured texts can be linked to additional materials such as images or other media, thereby going beyond the traditional book format.

We work closely with you throughout the entire publication process – from planning to publication.

Visibility and citability scroll to top

All publications on ART-Books receive:

  • a DOI for permanent identification
  • an ISBN for international distribution
  • and, for series, an ISSN as well

This ensures that your books remain discoverable and citable in the long term and are integrated into academic infrastructures.
