W Obel in Aalborg hat aus An laß ihres 150jährigen Bestehens eine in ihrer ganzen graphischen und drucktechnischen Durch gestaltung mustergültige Jubiläumsschrift heraus gebracht. Die eingestreuten Vignetten und deli katen farbigen Blätter sind von Paul Hoyrup, der insonderheit auch die schwierige Aufgabe einer bildhaften Veranschaulichung des statistischen Materials geschickt löste, und nicht weniger ein dringlich und lebendig wirken die Werksauf nahmen von Vagn Gulbrandsen. Der satte Offsetdruck und der präzise Buchdruck, die beide gemeinsam für diese fesselnde Schrift verwendet wurden, sind zugleich auch eine glänzende Leistungsprobe des dänischen Druckgewerbes. Dr. H. The Danish tobacco factory, C. W. Obel, at Aal borg, has published a Jubilee Number on the occasion of the 150 ,h anniversary of its founding. This number is an exemplary specimen of the graphic and printing arts. The scattered vignettes and delicately coloured plates are the work of Paul Hoyrup. This artist has successfully accom- plished the difficult task of the pictorial represent- ation of statistics. The industrial photographs of Vagn Gulbrandsen are no less impressive and effective in their life-like character. The richness of the offset print and the precision of the book typography, both of which have been used in this enchanting work, are a brilliant example of the Creative capability of the Danish printing trade.
