So ist es möglich, die Angebote des Portals ausgerichtet am wissenschaftlichen Bedarf und an aktuellen Forschungstrends und -fragen weiterzuentwickeln.

As an important partner in the development of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) arthistoricum.net is involved in the strategic processes of the NFDI4Culture consortium. In addition, the specialist information service is involved in the FID-Netzwerk Künste & Kultur, which coordinates cooperation within the FID system and with the NFDI.
Furthermore, Heidelberg University Library is part of the Diamond Open Access Service Centre (SeDOA) consortium, where it contributes its expertise in science-led publication consulting, among other things, with arthistoricum.net Publishing. The aim is to strengthen and further develop Diamond Open Access publishing in Germany through better coordination and visibility of decentralised infrastructures. The numerous offerings for e-publishing essays, articles, books, and journals, as well as for the permanent archiving of research data, are used by a large number of partners.
